Frequently Asked Questions
You need to use your permanent UK (England, Scotland Wales) home address. If you make a claim on the policy, you might be asked to provide proof that you live at this address.
Below are some of the more common reasons for a payment being declined.
- Lost internet connection: please try again
- Try a different internet browser, a different device or a different payment method
- If you’re still having trouble, try contacting the cardholder’s bank to make sure the transaction isn’t blocked.
Your application depends on:
- your age
- where you live
- your occupation
- the type of car
- how old the car is
- your driving history.
If we can’t insure you, it’s because of one (or more) of these reasons. We don’t get any more information from our underwriters (the people who decide what terms to offer). They have specific criteria, so please don’t worry – it’s nothing personal!
The driving licence is validated against the driver details. Please make sure the driver’s name and date of birth have been entered exactly as shown on the driving licence and that the driving licence number is only 16 characters long.
We can insure a car for up to 30 days. If you need longer cover, you can take out a new policy at the end of the 30 days. The shortest time we can insure a car is one hour. The policies are only for consecutive days on cover.
If you can’t complete our application, it’s probably because some of the information isn’t recognised.
